Studying Architecture

Since I was a child I had a special interest in art, I remember I spent hours drawing, my mother said it was the only way to be calm. My dream was always to be a plastic artist, a painter, maybe a sculptor, and I had several failed attempts to study in a plastic arts academy. 

As time went by and I continued my studies I realized that my dream was to be able to merge science and art. In college, there were not many career options that had an artistic content, but one of them I loved, architecture. So I began to study it and was fascinated by the wide world that the career hides. 

I was very interested in studying at the University of Chile, I think their professors belong to the intellectual elite of the country. The University, although it is not private, has high costs. I believe that access to the University of Chile does not only depend on the intelligence of each student, it also depends on their economy. 

It has been a beautiful experience to be able to share with classmates who have the same vocational interests as me, and who enjoy dedicating their time to such a beautiful profession. 

I believe that architecture has many challenges, the world is changing more and more, and the new times change the needs, therefore, the way of seeing architecture changes. It is our duty to adapt, and always propose a better world to live in.
